A patient may report to you that they do not feel the pull that they are expecting. It is not uncommon for the capture or harness to slide on the patient. This allows the cushion to extend the full stroke before the table sensor could register the full poundage that was selected.
We recommend adding a marker on the frame at a point that will be visible if the cushion is fully extended so that the table operator will know immediately if the harness needs to readjusted.
LUMBAR:
Select any Program, set the poundage to 10 lbs, and press Start. Let the cushion extend full stroke. Place the indicator on the side of the main frame 8 inches from the steel angle that the leg cushion attaches to. A white sticker, 5/16 inch x 1/2 inch, is shown.

The indicator remains out of view unless the cushion moves the full distance. The indicator will be visible from the side with a patient lying on the table.

CERVICAL:
Select any Program, set the poundage to 5 lbs, and press Start. Let the cushion extend full stroke.
Place the indicator on the side of the frame 3 inches from the collar that secures the chrome rod. A white sticker, 5/16 inch x 1/2 inch, is shown.

The indicator remains out of view unless the cushion moves the full distance. It will be visible from the side with a patient lying on the table.
