Remove the two-section plastic enclosure at the cervical end. There are screws on both sides.

Use a hex wrench to remove two shoulder bolts so that the cervical frame can be slid back, away from the actuator.

Slide the spring and rivet from the post on the actuator.
Use a wrench to secure the actuator while grasping the post with a rag and locking pliers. Unthread the post from the actuator.
Spray silicon into the hole at the end of the actuator. The threads at the openingdo not need lubricant, only the moving parts further inside.
Reverse steps to reassemble.
