AIR DROP TABLES
- Grasp the cushion at the sides and lift it. Does it stay up? Push it back down and do this several times with your hands after adjusting the tension knob to various tensions. Does the tension vary with the knob adjustments?
If NO, then make sure the drop pin and ball bearing at the center of the
cushion are aligned so the ball rides in the groove of the pin. Refer to "sheet 3"
If YES, then the next thing to check is if the drop pin at the center of the cushion is properly tightened (next step).
2. When the cushion is lifted up in the drop position does it wobble?
If NO, refer to "sheet 2" for loose or worn parts.
If YES, then remove the cushion to examine the drop pin mounting hardware. Loosen tension knob completely and then unbolt.

Drops not staying cocked may be due to a combination of worn areas. The diagram below shows several spots that can be checked.

Air Flex or AirC -Align Thoracic or Lumbar Drop Pin:
SYMPTOM: Cushion does not stay up when lifted.
PROBABLE CAUSE: The drop pin with the groove & detent has rotated so that the ball bearing does not catch in the detent. This can happen if someone loosens the tension knob too much.
FIX: On AirC, remove the plastic cover on the side of the frame. Lowering the outer skirt on AirC & Air Flex will make it easier to access.
Loosen tension knob so that you can grasp the bottom of the drop pin and rotate it so that the ball bearing can ride in the groove again.
