Table Won't Respond in One Direction (Board or Limit Switch?)
- Verify Foot Switch is communicating
Table needs to be elevated at least part way so that when the inner section of plastic enclosure is raised, you will be able to access inside.
Remove the six screws that secure the plastic enclosure to the steel base and lift the plastic to gain access.
Locate the small green circuit board. There are two LED's on it, one for each direction.
Tap the pedal for each direction. Be prepared to quickly tap the pedal a second time to stop the motor again. Did an LED light for each direction? If so, the foot switch and cord are fine.
- Test the board
Unplug the table.
Swap the Red and White from T4 and TS. Grasp the plastic connector. Do not pull on the wire itself.
Plug the table in and step on the opposite pedal function. If the table will go in the direction that it would not go before then the problem was the board. Replace it.
If the table still does not go then put the two wires back on their original terminals and test the micro switch.
- Test the micro switch
If the table will not go Down the limit switch for Down may have failed. The Down limit switch has white wires and is the one closest to the foot of the table. If the table will not go Up then the limit switch closer to the middle of the table, with red wires, may have failed.
Unplug the table.
Remove either wire from the limit switch being tested and move it to the screw that secures the other wire of the same color. Connecting both wires is like removing the switch. The switch may not have been allowing power to pass through it.
Plug the table in.
Step on the pedal. If it moves then be ready to tap on the pedal again to turn it off because it will keep running if you don't.
If it runs now but didn't before, it demonstrates that the switch was not allowing power through it. Replace the micro switch.
