Make sure the needle valve (air flow adjuster) going into the distraction cylinder is adjusted to a relatively slow speed such as is used with a patient on the table.
Step on the Pressure Pedal to increase the pressure just beyond "60". When you let up on the pedal it should drift down to "60" and hold. Allow a few seconds for this.
IF pressure does not come down then refer to sheet 2.
IF pressure does come down to "60" but the Safety Valve continues to blow off then replace the Safety Valve. It is factory set at 70 psi and should not be releasing at 60.

Follow the steps below IF the pressure did not regulate down to 60 psi after letting up on the Pressure Pedal.
- Elevate the table using the Height Pedal.
- GAIN ACCESS: Remove the screws holding the outer section of plastic enclosure to the top frame. There is a screw at the foot end and one on the side of the plastic, near the control box. Grab the plastic at the foot end and pull down and out at the same time to remove the plastic enclosure from around the arm rest. Refer to the photo for location of the regulator.

3. Pull out the Regulator knob until an orange ring is visible. Turn knob COUNTERCLOCKWISE very little to DECREASE pressure. Step on the Pressure Pedal and allow a few seconds for the pressure to stabilize. Continue to adjust until the gauge shows "60 psi".
If the air cannot be brought to the appropriate pressure to prevent the Safety Valve from blowing than the Regulator needs to be replaced.
