SYMPTOM- The cushion binds or sticks during the drop.
Checking the cushion post alignment:

SYMPTOM- Troubleshoot a sticking drop.
Use the foot pedal to lift the drop. Look under the cushion to see if the rollers on the lifter are still up. When you remove your foot from the pedal the rollers should lay down again. IF THEY DON"T LAY DOWN then it may be one of two causes:
Checking the pneumatics:
Step on the pedal and remove your foot several times. Each time you remove your foot you should hear a "pssst" caused by air being let off by the drop valve on the manifold? If YOU HEAR AIR RELEASED then the air system is not the cause. Go to the next step for checking the mechanism. IF NO AIR SOUND then clean or replace the drop valve.
Check the lifting mechanism:
While the cushion is up, grasp the air cylinder clevis where it attaches to the lifter and manually activate the rod of the air cylinder to raise and lower the rollers. Pull the cylinder rod in and out several times while observing the lifter assembly to see if any part of it such as a nut or bolt head is getting caught on something.
