Using a Phillips Head screwdriver, remove the 2 screws that secure the former hand switch under the front of the headpiece (“A” in drawing above). Install the new release switch with the 2 screws.

On the body of the mechlok mechanism, pinch the two tabs together at the end of the old cable (“B”) to release the tension of the mechanism and then remove the balled end of the cable from the slot. Next, remove the e-clip. To attach the new cable, simply pinch the tabs again, slide the balled-end into the slot as before, then replace the e-clip.
